About ReefGro

Grown by reef keepers, for reef keepers.

ReefGro is a UK coral aquaculture business based in Ipswich, Suffolk, specialising in healthy, established coral frags grown for the home reef aquarium.

What started through a passion for reef keeping, coral husbandry and propagation has developed into ReefGro — with a simple aim: to produce healthy, colourful and well-established corals that we'd be happy to put into our own reef tanks.

UK Coral Aquaculture

A large proportion of the corals available within the hobby begin their journey as wild-collected or imported stock. At ReefGro, our aim is to establish quality broodstock and produce future generations through propagation here in the UK.

Rather than continually relying on newly imported colonies, selected corals are grown, fragged and grown again within our systems.

This allows us to develop established aquacultured stock that has already spent considerable time adapting to captive aquarium conditions.

Some of our broodstock has been established within the hobby for many years, while other pieces are newer additions that we're still growing and developing.

How We Grow

Our corals aren't fragged and immediately put up for sale.

After propagation, frags are given time within our systems to heal, establish and begin growing before they're considered ready for sale.

We closely monitor water quality, lighting, flow and general coral health throughout the process.

Because we're genuinely growing our stock, availability can sometimes be limited. If something is marked as Currently Growing, it simply means we're waiting until we're happy with the next batch before offering it for sale again.

Our Approach

We're not interested in having the biggest possible catalogue.

We'd rather build a carefully selected collection of corals that grow well, colour well and are worth keeping.

That includes established favourites alongside some of the more unusual pieces we've collected for our broodstock.

Every coral leaving ReefGro is inspected before dispatch and carefully packed for overnight delivery throughout the UK.

The ReefGro Goal

ReefGro is still growing — quite literally.

Our long-term aim is to continue expanding our UK-grown coral collection, increasing the amount of established aquacultured stock available to reef keepers and reducing our reliance on continually sourcing new coral from the wild.

We're proud of what we're building, and we're doing it one frag at a time.
